We have sorted through our data to show you the top ten areas in east England with the lowest crime rates, and here are our results. The area in England with the highest crime rate is not surprisingly central London with the City of London area with a total crime rate of 1,317 but these following are the areas with the lowest crime rates. These areas are ranked according to crimes reported per 1,000 residents.

The top ten lowest areas of crime in England

The Isles of Scilly situated off the Cornish coast came in top for low levels of crime. According to our data the East Midlands and South East England are the safest places to live in England, both these regions have four areas in our top ten. Whilst the South West and East England has one area each in top ten.
