There's no better place than London to celebrate 31 days of Halloween

The Viaduct Tavern

Located in the heart of London standing opposite the Central Criminal Courts aka Old Bailey is the haunted Viaduct Tavern dating back to 1875. The last example of a Victorian Gin Palace in London.

The Viaduct Tavern is home to no ordinary ghost, it is said that a poltergeist resides in the cellar. For those who don't know a poltergeist is a much more malevolent ghost made infamous with the Enfield hauntings during the 70's.

It is believed the cellars were once part of the old prison that stood on the same spot before the pub was built. Staff often refuse to go down there alone due to high levels of unusual activity ranging from lights turning themselves off, weird noises and the cellar door refusing to  budge open when people try to leave. In 1996 on pub manager found inside locked in the cellar without light until his wife found him much later.
