Tenants deposit
All deposits paid by tenants must be registered with a Tenancy Deposit Scheme within 30 days of the tenancy commencing. Where Duncan Perry Estate Agents are responsible for registering the Deposit, this will be done with the Deposit Protection Service (dps) and we will also send them the deposit monies to hold until the end of the tenancy.
Where a Landlord registers the deposit, the Landlord may use a different scheme. This being the case, we will have the name of the scheme to which he/she is registered and their Landlord id Number.
The Tenancy Agreement which tenants are required to sign will reflect the deposit scheme to which the Landlord is affiliated and will contain the Prescribed Information pertinent to that scheme.
