The Tenant Fees Act prevents landlords and their agents from requiring tenants to make any payment as a condition of ranting, renewing or continuing a tenancy apart from:

A refundable Tenancy Deposit (capped at five weeks rent for rent not exceeding £50,000 per annum or six week’s rent if greater)
